Dear Yuletide Author (2019)

Hi! Thanks so much for coming to check out my letter :D Below are some general likes and dislikes and then specific prompts for the fandoms I'm requesting for Yuletide. I hope they help and inspire you, but of course, Optional Details Are Optional! I'll be delighted to get fic of any of my fandoms.

Things I love: humour; fluff; cuteness; snark and banter; happy/feel-good endings; unusual AUs (any AUs, really, are awesome); found family dynamics; characters being in denial of their feelings (especially in the context of a love-hate type relationship); what-ifs and gap-fillers; clever, kick-ass, well-written female characters; female-dominant smut; light hurt/comfort (e.g. character A comforting character B after a nightmare, or character A patching up character B after a battle/fight); anything involving sleep, dreaming, or nightmares; sharing a bed <3

I am happy for the fic to be as long or as short as you please. I love shippy fic, but gen, close friendship and implied/open to interpretation relationships are super awesome as well.

Plotty fic is great, worldbuilding is great, plot-light character or relationship-driven fics are REALLY great.

Things I dislike:

• Character death and tragedy; in general I like humour and happiness in my fics, or at least the knowledge that things will turn out okay
• Plots or tropes revolving around deception – including infidelity
• Gore – I’m okay with violence, but preferably not graphic descriptions thereof
• A/B/O dynamics
• Pregnancy
• Rape/non-con (I’m also not a fan of dubcon tropes like sex pollen, fuck or die, aliens made them do it, etc.)
• Stripper AU
• Master/slave AU or dynamics
• Scat, vore, bloodplay

Fandom-specific thoughts/prompts:

The Mighty Grand Piton
Requested characters: Connie, The Mighty Grand Piton

The Mighty Grand Piton short raises so many amazing possibilities, and I'd love to see literally any of them explored! How did Connie discover Piton? How does she keep him secret from her family (or try to?) What sort of adventures do they go on together? What happens at the end of her holiday when she has to go back to England?

In the film we see glimpses of two (presumably) evil scientists, and I'd love something about who they are and what they might be doing on the island. Are they looking for Piton? Are they building their own mechs? We see a few other giant robots in the film, so adventures and battles involving them would be super fun.

Basically, anything themed around action, adventure and/or friendship featuring a girl and her robot companion would hit all the right notes for me :D Also, this one is the exception to my shippy fic rule, because I really don't want to see Connie/Piton. Genfic would be much appreciated!

Please avoid: Romance, smut, graphic depictions of violence (mild/moderate violence is okay!)


Questionable Content
Requested characters: Clinton, Brun, Elliot

I would looove some shippy fic involving these three. I've been rooting for them to get together in-comic for ages and then it suddenly dawned on me that all things are possible in fic! Pre-relationship or close friendship would also be fun. Give me Elliot, Clinton and Brun hanging out and being cute, possibly trying and failing to hide their respective crushes, possibly with an encouraging Claire and/or Renée getting involved to matchmake and/or encourage the three to act on their Very Obvious Feelings.

Explicit fic is a-ok, though I'm also totally on board for ace and/or aro headcanons for any (or all!) of the characters.

QC is a happy fandom for me, so I'd prefer not to have tragedy or unrequited feelings, though I'm down for pining!

Some additional ideas:

• Clinton exploring his sexuality and the possibility of him being open to being with a guy, possibly aided by a conversation with Claire. I'm okay for this to be serious and touch on issues like homophobia if you want to go there, but would prefer it not to be overly heavy. 
• Elliot pining after Brun and Clinton simultaneously (I mean, this is canon xD), possibly with some Outsider POV (Renée? I love Renée). Actually, Outsider POV in general would be GREAT.
• Brun being super direct and being the one to take matters into her own hands would be fun. Also, Brun & Renée friendship!
• Queerplatonic threesome! I love queerplatonic relationships and would be super jazzed for the relationship between these three to not necessarily need a romantic and/or sexual element, or even need a label. Again, anything exploring ace or aro headcanons or dynamics is also A+ by me.
• Anything involving poly relationship dynamics, exploring the boundaries of a relationship, general "we super don't know what we're doing here but we really care about each other and we'll work it out". 

Jonathan Creek
Requested characters: Jonathan, Maddie

I have a long and abiding love for this show, but I confess that I’m a seasons 1-3 girl: the relationship between Jonathan and Maddy is my jam, and I was less interested in the show after Maddy/Caroline Quentin left. Having said that, if you’re familiar with the later seasons and want to write Maddy into them somehow, that works for me!

As I mentioned in my request, I would adore some classic snark and banter between Jonathan and Maddy – a case is optional, but very much enjoyed! Their relationship can be gen, or shippy – I love pre-relationship, getting together and UST dynamics, but I’d be happy with platonic, maybe with the hint of something more; an established relationship; or even references to a past relationship if you want to throw some angst in there.

I love these characters because they’re both clever, and strong-willed, and really funny when they play off each other, and although they irritate the heck out of each other, they also can’t seem to keep away from each other – anything that plays into that dynamic would be A+.

Canon universe is optional, so if you want to throw them into an alternate universe or another time period, be my guest!

Red, White & Royal Blue
Requested Characters: June, Pez, Nora

There is a criminal lack of June/Nora/Pez content in this fandom, and I'm hoping that if I'm very good this year, the Yuletide Fairy will bring me some for Yuletide :D

Explicit/smut is loved, light and fluffy cuteness is loved, pre-relationship or UST is loved. I would prefer for things to be shippy in nature, but I'm super down with exploring ace/aro headcanons for any (or all!) of the three.

Some other thoughts:

• Fic of That Night after karaoke is of course wonderful and extremely welcome, as is anything exploring the build-up or aftermath :D
• Alex being a Supportive Sibling, or Alex being the World's Most Oblivious Sibling xD
• The three of them tentatively beginning a relationship and trying their best to keep it out of the public eye
• Supportive Henry/Pez going to Henry for advice
• Negotiating threesome dynamics

Fence!
Requested Characters: Harvard, Aiden

When reading Fence!, it was the relationship and the interactions between Harvard and Aiden that really stole my heart, and I'd go nuts for anything centered around these two. Fluff, pining, backstory, besties hanging out, you name it! I would dig some jealousy from Harvard around Aiden's playboy ways, perhaps leading to a confession or getting together. Alternatively, let Aiden be the one feeling jealous - and wrong-footed - when someone else appears to capture Harvard's time and attention :D

Getting together, pre-relationship and UST would all light my fire - or an established relationship that they're doing their best (and possibly failing epically) at hiding from the team.
