Yes, it takes time to feel comfortable on a site. I found people were very friendly on Dreamwidth at first, but now they seem to be dropping away/ not posting. I suppose it's because I'm not joining in a challenge but I've got too much else on my plate just now. It would have been better if I'd joined DW when I was writing all those fics in the last 2 years but I'm happy to just trundle along here now.
